Multiple Server Solutions

If Web site redundancy and maximum uptime is critical for your business, you may want to consider more than one server. Multiserver configurations are typically used when: running more than one resource intensive application such as Microsoft SQL or ColdFusion, heavy traffic impacts site performance, or when a large proportion of a company's business is done through the Web site.

The following are some suggested multiple server configurations:

Custom Configurations

At CenterServ we don't force you into a cookie-cutter solution. Instead, we consult with you to determine the best hardware configurations that will suit your diverse requirements. If you don't see what you require, give us a call at 1-866-262-0999, and you can consult with our experts to see what options are available. We offer a range of customizable Xeon and Opteron servers.

Firewall

Firewall Solutions are designed to increase server security by preventing unauthorized access to or from a server. Firewalls can be implemented in both hardware and software or a combination of both. Firewalls are frequently used to prevent unauthorized Internet users from accessing servers or private networks connected to the Internet. All messages entering or leaving the server or network pass through the firewall, which examines each message and blocks those that do not meet the specified security criteria.

Managed Backup Solution

Upon subscribing, all your data files will be stored in a separate centralized backup server offering complete security. Our automated process means your backups are scheduled and consistent so your lost data risk is minimal. By outsourcing your data backup to the expert administrators at CenterServ, you and your staff can focus on core business activity rather than worry about the loss of your data.

Load Balance Solution

A load balancer can be used to increase the capacity of a server farm beyond that of a single server. It can also allow the service to continue even in the face of server down time due to server failure or server maintenance.

A load balancer consists of a virtual server (also referred to as vserver or VIP) which, consists of an IP address and port. This virtual server or appliance is bound to a number of physical services running on the physical servers in a server solution. These physical services contain the physical server's IP address and port. A client sends a request to the virtual server, which in turn selects a physical server in the server solution and directs this request to the selected physical server. CenterServ deploys both shared and dedicated load balance solutions for customers using technology from LVS (LinuxVirtualServer) and Foundry Server Iron appliances.
